Under the direct supervision of the Billing Manager and general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, incumbent is responsible for submitting all billing agency claims, with follow up on denials and rebilling as necessary. Incumbent will serve as contact person with billing agent officials.

You Will Need:

  1. High School Diploma/GED.
  2. Computer knowledgeable.
  3. Knowledge of accounts receivable.
  4. Experience in dealing with the public. Good communication skills.
  5. Experience in existing billing and reimbursement procedures for Medicaid/Medicare and private insurance.
  6. Billing and coding experience.
  7. CPR (provided by SCHC within 6 months of hire)

Job Duties:

  1. Process claims through data entry
  2. Processes Medicare, Medicaid, HCHCP, and Third Party claims.
  3. Follow up and edit claims; i.e.: denials, resubmittals.
  4. Posting of Insurance Remittance Vouchers
  5. Assist and consults with patients regarding their claims.
  6. Reviews aging of claims past ninety days
  7. Other duties as assigned.
